ISABELLE: I am a very sweet loving person that is very driven in life,
that has a hunger for bodybuilding.
But there is a geek side to me too. I am very into computers, I am a book
I love politics, and I love languages.
I speak Spanish, a bit of german, and working on latin.
I am also a very funny person that loves to get a good laugh even at the
most serious moments.
I don't like to see people down, so I will run over to them and cheer
I just simply love comedy.
I am looking forward to the contest this year because
I will be
bringing a new package with lots of surprises.
I am also working torwards a pro card one day in female bodybuilding
ZONE:How did you got bit by the iron bug in the first place?
be honest the iron bug hit me really bad.
I never really liked bodybuilding. I was into soccer and track.
But soccer was my love I played it for nine years. I never lifted a weight.
When I played soccer it was a lot of running, and slide tackling.
I saw the guys working out at my school, but I really wasn't into the
Anyway, I was in a long term relationship for 4 years and the guy that
I was with really turned out to be a bad guy.
You know calling me names, and stuff like that.
At the time during my I met a bodybuilder chic one
named Sonia Howel and she was huge. I was intimidated big time,
but at the same time I kinda liked it.
We worked at the same job, and I watched her all the time and she got
all this attention.
I love attention.
I talked to her one day just bsing about training and she gave me a card,
and I kept lyng around. (good thing I did) Here is the turning point….
My boyfriend one day approached me and told me that I was a loser,
not allowed to have friends, and I was not going to get anywhere in life.
At the time I was working and trying to work torwards my degree in marine
Well it was terrible, he hit me and it turned out really ugly.
I could not believe what was happening to me.
I was very depressed and finally I was fed up and I broke up with him.
I realized he was very controlling of my life. I was not allowed to hang
I couldn't wear dresses, I had to cover up all the time, etc.
I couldn't be me, plain and simple The guy was just very pathetic and
I let him get to me.
Well not anymore, I found Sonias card one day and finally called her about
I wanted to do something different, something new,
something that was going to give me a challenge.
Sonia took me under her wing. I told her I would like to give bodybuilding
She was very excited to help me.
I was nervous I had absolutely no idea hat I was about to get myself into.
I will never forget what she told me" this is forever going to change
yor life" and it did,
and here I am now.
Bodybuilding was the most exciting experience that I ever encountered.
It was so different. I really loved what I had become, and achieved.
It made me stronger mentally and it gave me a peace
Oh and I can't forget about the sweet attention from people.
The one thing that aggravates me is people saying that "I can't do it"
I like to think positive and say in my mind that I can.
Because anybody can do anything that they put there mind too. And it is
