But nah...

Infact when I asked him if he was interested to do this profile he responded
with a "I am flattered but do not understand why me bro?"
And then he countinued with "Judging by your pics on your site you are a pro,
but I can’t find the show you won to receive your card...
So what’s your story dude?"
Well I must have some good bad ass pix of myself on my site
or maybe Dan is just a dude with lots of humor huh?!
*S*

I realy think DAN DUFRESNE will be the next gigant killer
among the pros in the near future!

ZONE:How did you got bit by the iron bug & when
did you first get involved in competition?
DAN: At age 11 my mom thought that I was way to skinny.
I think she also wanted me to do something to keep me out of trouble,
not knowing the little Iron monster she was about to create!
She started to bring me to the gym 3 night’s a week.
At age 15 a good friend of her’s thought that for a teenager,
I had what it takes to compete, so I did.
Losing a whopping 10 pounds through a six week diet I competed at 147 lbs.
There were 20 teenagers at that first show of mine.
And if you can believe it I placed third.
I also competed in the men’s class as a light weight for
the experience and out of five men I placed third also.
Beginner’s luck I guess.
Actually it was because the competitors were just that bad I think.
Lol.

ZONE:What is the best part of this crazy sport?
DAN: guess the thing I love most about this sport is simply being big.
I don’t know what it is, I’ve just always wanted big muscles.
I can remember at age twelve telling my mom
I wanted to be a pro, and still do more than anything in the world

ZONE:And the worst?
DAN: The worst thing is always feeling small.
This year at 265 lbs with 20½ inch arms I felt so small,
and I don’t think that will ever go away for me.
TP told me that I better get over that because if I turn pro someday
I will be so small compared to every one else.
And he’s right!

ZONE:Laughter....Well tell us abit about your training & diet.
Offseason & before a show?
DAN: Off season I eat and eat and eat anything that I see.
My wife force feeds me with a spoon. Lol.
I train five day’s a week for 1-1/2 hrs each day.
Heavy, hard, intense and then I sleep.
When I get ready for a show I just do anything TP say’s,
and don’t think about it.
Pretty simple stuff I guess.

ZONE:Ooh bro I can relate to that force feeding thing!
I realy thought my Marie was alone doing that kind of shit! *S*
I know you get some help before this years Nationals
from IFBB pro Tom Prince... what difference does it make with him in your corner?
Any secrets to share?
DAN: This is the third year TP has trained me for the National’s.
I cannot express the difference in my body, it’s like he can split atoms.
Without him I would just suck.
No secrets he’s just too awesome.

ZONE:Where do you think most people go wrong before a show?
DAN: I think people over train and overcomplicate things way to much.
It’s like they are trying to reinvent the wheel!

ZONE:Future plans?
DAN:As for my plans, all I can think about right now is becoming a pro.
I will try to win the overall at this show until I am 28.
If I cannot do that by that age I believe it was not meant to be.
That would be a total of seven national shows.

ZONE:Good luck bro & kick ass out there!
DAN: Peace!
