Fredrik is a freak alright!
I first met Fredrik at the expo at the Nutritionoutlet-GP a couple of years
ago...
It was Nutritionoultets own Roger that introduced us
& Told Fredrik to drop his pants & show me his freak wheels!
Hey I even got a pic from the moment!
But really Fredrik is so much more than a pair of legs...
Infact he is a great bodybuilder with his heart in the right place
& a true member of the brotherhood of iron!
I was amazed that after talking to him backstage at the Swedish qualifier
( where I spilled over badly) he took the time to call me daily
to help me get the last time contest prep right before the nationals!
Fredrik knows his stuff & today I call him a true friend!!

ZONE:Tell us a bit about yourself
Fredrik.
FREDRIK: Some people tell me that my personality doesn´t go with
my body cause I´m really a calm, sweet and shy guy and not loud,
noicy and fearful that my body might give the impression of.
But when I´m on stage I live up to that bad boy image but in a charmful way
of course.
ZONE:How did you got bit by the iron bug
& when did you first get involved in competition?
FREDRIK: My first workout was when a was a sprinter (100m)
I needed more strenght in my legs so I started to workout.
I remember my legs were very tiny at that time, but I was very strong in squats!
I remember my trainer said I should be a powerlifter instead sometimes!
I was repping on 130 kg ( 286 pounds) at that time after 3 months workout!!
I think I could do like 10 reps 5 set on that weight.
I did my first competition when I was 18 years old after two and a half years
of hard training.
Mostly powerlifting, benchpress, squats and deadlifts.
ZONE:What is the best part of this sport?
FREDRIK: To compete!
And you learn how your whole body works both on the inside and outside.

ZONE:And the worst part?
FREDRIK: The worst part? Well believe it or not, it has to be the workouts!!
I hate training these days.
But of course sometimes it´s very fun to workout.
And specially on diet when you can se progress every weekend.
ZONE:You are a BIG dude! What is your diet like? Both offseason & before a show?
FREDRIK: Well very simple, it depends on what my pre competition shape looks
like!
I´ve tried almost every diet there is and this is because
I want to learn how my body works.
But my diet is mostly high protein 400-600 g protein,
medium carbs between 100-300 g , and medium fat 30-100 g .
Keep it simple !!
But one of my best advice would be to get your protein from red meat.
Off season I honestly don´t care.
I try not to think about any dieting or cardiotraining at all.
Ask my friends, they´ll tell you that my main food is crisps, preferably two
bags a night!!

ZONE:And what about your training. Offseason & before a show?
FREDRIK: Off season I do my workout three to four times a week, high reps.
Precontest I workout five times a week, every second set heavy and the otherset
high reps
and also some powerwalks in the morning before breakfast and another hour after
workout at night.
To be honest I really don´t feel like talking about training, I´m pussywipped
at the gym.
Ask anyone at my gym about my workouts.
I train as a lady and no one understand how I can get my body in shape for a
contest.
There´s actually only one exercise where I really let the Beast inside of me
come out
and that´s when I do squats.

ZONE: Where do you think most people go wrong before a show?
FREDRIK: Overdoing cardiosessions!
ZONE:Who is your biggest inspiration & rolemodell thru the years?
FREDRIK: TOM PLATZ and later days the diet guru Chad Nichols
ZONE:Future plans?
FREDRIK: To find my inspiration again so that I can show the people up here
in the north that I can live up to my nickname Tom Platz once and for all.
Next time you will really see ripped legs and that´s a guarantee!!!
I don´t care about my biceps as long as my legs are brutally big and ripped.
After I´ve succeeded with that we might gonna try
to make some miniture-Tom Platz...You know, kids!
ZONE:Ha ha guess thats where I am at right now!
Good luck my friend!!
