PAULINE NORDIN

..............................................................................................

When I first started to hear about this little cocky looking babe
thru the magazines over here in Sweden & her website I actually thought
that she was just that...a little cocky babe!

Well I was wrong...

The first time I met her I stumbled into one of the nicest little girls
I ever met with tons & tons of humble attitude!!
Yeah I was amazed at my own stupidity & realized that people
out there that dont know me probably are thinking the same about me!!

Well Pauline is seen everywear these days and please remember that
shes only 21 !!
I really do think that shes got what it takes to make all the way
in this crazy game with both her attitude & her looks!
So go Pauline...GO!!

ZONE:Tell us a bit about yourself Pauline!
PAULINE:Im a stubborn, goal-oriented, moody, outgoing & an ambitious
girl from Sweden who dreams about getting a pro card in figure and move to california.:-)

ZONE:Ha ha! Ok...how did you got bit by the iron bug
& when did you first get involved in competition?

PAULINE:I walked by a muscle and fitness magazine,
saw the muscular women on the cover, found it to be disgusting,
went by again, changed my mind about it, thought it was pretty cool.
I then decided I was going to be a bodybuilder, went to the local gym,
told the trainer about my goal, skipped the learning process with weights
and went heavy with low reps directly,
decided to make my debut when I was 20 years old and so I did.

ZONE:What is the most important piece in the irongame to you...
the training or the contests?

PAULINE:The training. I love and hate training.
The show are just show off and something to work hard for.

ZONE:You & me are not the typical Swedish breed of bodybuilders...
We kind of stand out among the rest...
I mean even though were not the biggest bodybuilders we do got THE attitude
& are in all the magazines etc.. Are you my long lost sister?

PAULINE:Absolutely!
I cannot stand the typical Swedish attitude: dont do anything extreme,
dont stand up for yourself, don?t dream because you may not follow through.
Thats a whole lotta bullshit and I will never accept that and settle with being a loser.

ZONE:What is the best with bodybuilding Pauline...
why are you into this shit?

PAULINE:I have no idea!
Ever since I was a child I have been into discipline in different ways.
First I started working out doing pullups and
situps and pushups when I was 8 years old.
I also had several horses who I trained.
When I was 12, I stopped eating for no reason,
I had nothing else to do and I liked the control....
So, I guess Im kind of a self-torturer...;-)

ZONE:And the worst part?
PAULINE:It takes a long time to be a good bodybuilder!
Sometimes it feels like people ask too much from me
and forget about the fact that Im just 21....

ZONE: Ha ha!
Your just a li`ll girl & you got all the time in the world my friend!
Whats your future plans?
Where will Pauline be in 10 years?

PAULINE: My plans are to move to the US...
get established within the fitness industry and compete in figure.
In ten years I have done all that...
Sometimes I think too much about the future...
It feels like I’m just cruising through life since I don’t have a “normal job”
...When I was in high school I studied 7 different languages
(I wanted to be a interpreter and journalist).
Now I just work out and train others....
I have to remind myself I do all this because I love it and for fun
and I’m only good at doing what I like.
In ten years, I will maybe take up my studies again...In USA.

ZONE:Always when I stumble into you you seems to be in shape!
Tell us abit about your training & diet. Offseason & before a show.
PAULINE: Offseason I eat the same stuff as I do before a show/ptoto shoot,
just more. I have 11-12 meals a day consisting of protein shakes,
mackerel, tuna, chicken, udos choice, fish oil and 2-4 lbs of vegetables every day.
I also use dextrose before and after workouts, rice cakes postworkout too....
I work at the max-OT style.
5 days a week and 3-5 cardio sessions (20min at 85%MHR)
I cannot stand powerwalks unless it’s like once every other month,
so I don’t use low-intensity cardio...

ZONE:Where do you think most people go wrong before a show?
PAULINE:I don’t have much experience in that field,
but I guess people quit working with heavy weights and low reps:
they start to use high reps. That’s stupid...

ZONE:What is your best and worst qualities as a person?
PAULINE:My best qualities:
I’m honest, straight forwards, reliable and easy going.
Worst sides of me:
I’m very competitive, I have a bad temper, I put myself in the first place,
I just do what I like and if it doesn’t suit me I get pissed off.

ZONE:Anything you want to say to your fans?
PAULINE:Never stop dreaming.
Dreams will come true if you work hard enough.
Always. Need proof?
I’ll show yall....
