Resumé from a newspapers report of Robbans latest competitions...

Robert Brolin of Söderhamn is among the stongest men in Sweden. That is final since he placed fifth at the Swedish Championships in Strongman 12-13 of July in Västervik.
Robban was impressive at the qualifying heat on Saturday where he won and was one of 8 to qualify for the final on Sunday.
Because of a torn biceps in 2000 he had a bit of trouble with 2 of the events, but really impressed the audience in the final-event "Fingals fingers". The event is to flip iron poles, were the heaviest weighs 300 kg, and Robban was one of two competitors to flip 4 of the 5 fingers. The Swedish Championships will bee shown on Swedish TV after christmas, so watch out for it!
Robban who is also competing in bodybuilding, has only entered 3 strongman competitions before.
In the end of June he easily won a SC-qualifier in Skellefteå. Robbans comment on the qualifier was that it went really well both during the competition and the day before when recharging. He had aimed for placing among top 3, which was the requirement to enter the Swedish Championships, but it went even better than that!
Robban has his length against him (176 cm), but compensate it well with his overall physique and winner-instinct. He says that when it hurts the most is when you have to show some guts!
Next competition will bee in Luleå in September before a long winter of hard training, because this is something that he really want to go for. He continues to say that before he has been in Gävle to practise on tractortires and so on. But
this is my thing and now he will try to get a premises in his hometown Söderhamn with all the gear...
