ZONE:Tell us abit about yourself..who are you?
SAM: Since i am on a diet now there is not much time left than train,
eat, rest and work, but when iīm not iīm just an ordinary 25 year old guy
who likes to be around people, go see a movie, hang out with friends.
Music is an importent component in my life to, a real moodswinger.
Go skiing in the winters is also a favorit of mine.

ZONE:How did you got bit by the iron bug in the first place?
SAM: Muscles has always fasinated me and when my father got
a girlfriend who worked at a local gym
i guess my mind a body got a spin from it right away.
I started to set up goals with my training right away, and got really inspired.

ZONE:What is the best part of this sport?
SAM: That you setīs the level of your training yourself.
You make your own rules and are pretty much your own coach.
The final result is totally up to yourself.
Sure you should listen to people thatīs wants to gives you advises,
but if you swallow everything you here about training and different
methods you will soon be so full you wont be able to think for yourself.
No one knows you better than yourself.

ZONE: And the worst part?
SAM: I donīt think there is none acctually.
Itīs depens how you see things and how you make them.
But of course, injuries are not funny!!
And sometimes you wish to have a little more understanding from
"regular people" what you are up to. But one thing you can be sure of.
You cannot change other peoples minds, just your own.
I always tries to turn things to a more positive way if something turnes against me.

ZONE:This will be your first show..whats your diet been like?
SAM: I started my diet 14 weeks before contest.
I go low on carbs ( 108 g ) and high on protein ( 415 g) for 3-4 days.
The following day i go high on carbs ( 560 g) and easier on protein ( 250 g ).
Then i have a middleday with 280 g carbs and around 300 protein,
and then back to the lowdays, and so on.
Me and my coach and good friend Krister Eklund thinks it has worked out great
so iīm not changing anything until maybe the last week before lucia, but we will se ..
Why change when itīs working.

ZONE:And what about your training?
SAM: Right now i train 2 times a day in the gym and i also does cardio 2 times a day.
My work looks the same now as it did when i started the diet.
I donīt go after a complete scetual, i like to feel the muscle iīm about to train.
I rest when i think its necessery.

ZONE:Who is your bigest inspiration & rolemodell thru the years?
SAM: There is a lot with good physics out there,
one of them is Kevin Levrone who has a great physic.
Damn those shoulders and triceps.
And every competive athlete that again and again comes razor sharp
in competetive status is a great inspiration to see to.

ZONE:Future plans?
SAM: A big eating-orgie after the competition!!
.. Right now with 3 weeks out my plan is to keep on going strong with the diet
and the training and get as hard i can get to the show.
Futures dessisions is made after the contest.
