The first interview I did with ZONE CAPONE for this site was back in 99 & little did we know back then...
Now more than 4 years & more than 14million hits later the self-proclaimed male bodybuilding version of
ANNA KORNIKOVA
(After placing out of the money in the 03 shows & still getting more press than anyone)
is comfortable laying on the sofa, sippin`some pepsi-light at his & his beautiful Maries cozy crib.
Theres a snoring sound coming from their dog Tombak sleeping on the floor while their other dog
a bullterrier named Ior is locked up in his cage
as he just cant keep calm by himself but need to be locked up to relax!!
Westsideconnections new CD is playing on the stereo & the smell of food is coming at us from the kitchen
as Marie is making some chicken for us...
Zone is looking like his original offseason self...shaved shiny head, a goatee &
while holding some water & fat still sporting those veiny forearms...
Whats new since 99 are all the tatoos...
And with those HUGE baggy bleached jeans & his jewelry I must say that
Zone is looking like a beefed up rap-star these days!

whats up Zone...Can ya belive its was over 4 years since the last time
we sat down for
an interview like this one? ZONE:No man thats really crazy!!! Time flyes when ya have fun thats for sure!! GORO:So Zone tell us what you have been doing these years? ZONE:Man..lots of things happened!! Dont know where to start really... GORO:Well let me help ya out abit then...Your still hanging with Marie,Ya got a bigger crib, 2 new dogs & a co/owner at TheZONEshop & started up your own team!! And on top of that you hit the stage a couple of times + ya got yourself your own column in one of the magazines... Am I right? ZONE:I guess ya summed it up pretty good there my friend! Yeah I did a couple of shows at the end of last year & it turned out into a disaster!! Ha ha!! GORO:What the hell happened? ZONE:I did what I always do...getting ready to early & hitting the stage looking like shit!!! Flat flat flat... But atleast I got some pix taken before the shows where I looked pretty good ha ha... But man Im pissed at myself thats for sure!! My Marie told me not to go down into a middleweight but I just wouldnt listen... |

really I know that bodybuilding is so much more to you than the competition
part & didnt it turn out pretty good after all? I mean with all the ink ya got in the magazines etc.. ZONE:Yeah your right I guess it did turn out pretty good after all as I got alot of ink in the Swedish magazines & the hits where flowing at this site!! Its actually pretty amazing...it shows that you dont have to win shows to win in this sport if ya know what I mean?!! GORO:Yeah thats what Im saying!! Because really Zone I do see ya everywhere these days!! How the hell do you do it? ZONE:Well I guess Im more than just another competitor! Ha ha!! Actually I guess that I mostly made myself known thru this site... But it mostly comes down to my attitude & the fact that I do got some personality & is abit different... I also think alot of people can relate to my physique...I mean I show the not so genetically blessed out there that you can look good, be cool & a be winner living the bodybuilding dream even without actually winning shows... Im just a crazy guy with lots of love for the sport, avarage genetics & tons of attitude. |

true.... ZONE:Theres also alot of competitors out there who take themself waaay to seriouse while I laugh at myself all the time & is infact here to have fun! Theres also alot of people badmouthing each other just because they compete against each other. Im just a fan of the sport & not into that shit! I actually get inspired by people who do beat me in shows!! They will only make me try harder & they bring out the best in me! I also think the lineup needs a clown!! GORO:Ha ha!! I do love your attitude Zone & I think you are right! ZONE:Thanx man! GORO:What about your Team-ZONE!! ZONE:Team-ZONE is actually Li`l-T`s brainchild! The idea`to start up a team that would compete in our name! We got 15 persons competing for us as we speak..both in bodybuilding, strongman & fitness! Im extremely proud of èm all!! We actually got some of the best athletes in the country competing for us this at this moment in time!! |
