SWEDISH NATIONALS 2001

OR... MY WEEKEND WITHOUT GANGSTA RAP...
ZONES VIEW.....

This years report gotta be abit different than last years full report due to some reasons...
I missed the saturday shows due to personal reasons..(Yes I am a bussy man sometimes)..
& only could see the Sunday show in the flesh so to speak...

Actually I went down to Stockholm on Friday & forgot to put my usual gangsta music in
the CD..Damned a weekend without gangsta rap!!
The 2 hour trip down was Ok though & we even managed a quick
back-workout at hardcore Craz-ze gym.
Went down with my lady Marie & she shaked her head & wondered why we always gotta train in theese dungeons?..Well she accepts my hardcore mentality..so its all fine...
Gotta say a BIG thanx to Petra & Matt Duvall lookalike-Örjan for always letting us crash at their place when visiting the big city..Well lets move on to the nationals....

The sad thing about this Nationals was that it still was held in the small Solna hall...
& there was no expo to speak of...
It was real sad to see the fruits of our federations miscalculations..
Walking out after the prejudging I could feel the irritation from the crowd...
People who Im used to see smile ..said a weak "hello", looked down & walked out with the crowd.
Like a hord of tired, bored cows we all lumped our way out to the empty "expo"....
Damned!...Is this realy our sports destiny?

The high standard of the competitors made me feel happier though!
Watching the prejudging WAS GREAT!

So it was with high spirits me & my lady Marie entered the finals after all!
.........Until Janne Malmqvist entered the stage as a speaker............
Ok..a bodybuilding show should be funny & the speaker should be able to make some jokes
..but this......Damned...Malmqvist was making a fool out of the whole sport!
Talking about everything except Bodybuilding...making sexistic jokes way over the line
& basicly acting like a jerk & turning the finals into a god damned stand-up comedy!

Never mind...fuck Malmqvists acts on stage & lets move on to the competition!
Following are some shorties from my view....

*The -80kg juniors kicked of in high spirits & Wilton Reyes
showed us things to come while winning the class!

*Mens Veterans -80 kg ..Wow what can I say!
11 strong mature competitors entered the stage this year!
Winner Fahrang Rahimly (who also won mens -80kg class) is world class!
His legs are freaky in a class of a Lee Priest!
The rest of the top six: Kjell Lehtinen, Mats Nilsson, Peter Johansson,
Krister Eklund & Leif Renling all must have been in the best shape of their lifes!

*Heléne Hoby followed her yesterday win with another gold medal in
the Womens Veterans, showing us all how long hard training can transform a woman!
Hoby is a star from the 80`s doing a incredible comeback!
What a beauty!
(..My Marie said she could kill for her abs!)

*Mens Veterans +80 kg showed us once again that the veterans
are alive & kicking in this country!
Jari Solmehano looked superb & todays biggest dude Sten Wigstrand
had to settle for second place!
Jahn Ohnslät looked like a million dollars but was awarded 4th
after Ali Kazemi..another big dude!
A special tribute must go to mr upperbody Kent Gustafsson
for never giving up..& I do mean never!

*And then to what I waited for.."my class" the Mens -80 kg !
Damned!..Im glad I wasnt there!..
Theese dudes did get me a kick in the but to start train even harder!
Winning again was ofcourse Fahrang Rahimly!
Anton Larsson had to settle for 3rd despite being much fuller & harder than last year!
In second place was Peter Hedman with blond hair & ripped glutes!
Rounding out the top six was Per Sundström, Mats Nilsson & Hans Blomqvist..
They all looked absolutely great!
Would like to say to Mikael Carlsson (who finished 8th )
dont be sorry..you got great lines & the future is yours!

*Womens -57 kg`s Klaudia Larsson & Lance Gilles new squees won easely!
With details like split biceps & lines to kill for she looked absolutely astounding!
Any other year both second place Carina Isaksson & 3rd Gunilla Olofsson could have won!

* Couples
1. Gunilla Olofsson/Mats Nilsson
2. Petra Anegrund/Jonas Engback
3. Therese Wallerskog/Kent Gustafsson

*& finaly...Mens +90 kg... the heavyweights!
Like last year Jan Nordlund did it again!
Unbeatable!..Despite Sten Wigstrands mass & out of this world freaky calves!
(His calves realy are bigger than his head theese days!)
Was talking to Sten after the prejudging & he asked me what I thought of his condition..
Told him I had seen him sharper & I guess both he & his lady got a bit pissed..
But sten you know I love ya & realy the day you dial it in perfectly no one can
beat you in this country...But today Jan just was to sharp !
Sqeesing in between the 2 into second place was man-mountain
Jörgen Johansson who also was looking incredible!

Cant belive why Daniel Nehme missed the top 6?
..Ok he need some more beef but was the hardest guy on stage..
Keep striving & your day will come Big-D!
